In the world of motorbikes we find ourselves, on several occasions, when on the road, it is necessary to glimpse at the GPS in order not to get lost.
When alone you have 2 options….. placing a holder on the handles to fix a GPS or stopping periodically to look at the GPS screen.
If you have a passenger with you, it is usual for the passenger to be in charge of the route and to guide the rider.
Motorbikes jackets with “system groove”, have incorporated into their backs an “opening”, in which can be inserted a GPS or other tablet device where videos can be watched, or music listened to etc. and in a way that is easily handled by the passenger, hands free. Simply, it can be used by the passenger by touching the screen as and when necessary.
Furthermore, it has the facility for the passenger to monitor the route or, for younger passengers, to watch a film or catch up on tv programmes or cartoons for their amusement.
The “System Groove” is a linear aperture with an opening of 5”, 7”, 9”or 10” in the back of the jacket which allows the incorporation of an adaptor for a tablet of less than 10”.
The “SYSTEM GROOVE” is a sealed system into which no air, water or dust can enter. The tablet is inserted from an opening on the top or side of the jacket (depending on the jacket design) and closed with velcro or a zip. The frontal part has a special (warm) plastic window which allows the use of "touch screen"for the tablet.
Any hand held device is at risk of being dropped during the journey by the rider or passenger with potentially dangerous consequences to both of the riders and other road users nearby!
At the very least, it would be expensive to replace the tablet which would inevitably be destroyed. It is also possible that if a tablet was to fall from a bike at speed that serious injuries, possibly fatal, could result!!! This will not happen with the “SYSTEM GROOVE” JACKET.
